Andrew began taking Isshinryu Karate classes in September 2007. He currently trains 2-4 days per week, and helps teach 3 days per week. Additionally, he participates in local, state and national Isshinryu and Open Karate tournaments. He was first nominated in 2012 as a top five male karate ka 12 and under. In 2013, He received the honor of being nominated by the Isshinryu Hall of Fame as one of the top 5 Young Male Karate-ka under 12. In 2014, he was nominated top five in both Outstanding Contribution to Isshinryu, and Male Jr. Competitor. In 2015 he became nominated as one of the top 5 male karate ka ages 13-17. On December 21, 2013, he was awarded the rank of Ni Dan Ho, Second Degree Junior Black Belt! On June 28, 2015, he earned the rank of San Dan Ho. When he is not at karate he enjoys downhill skiing, golfing, mountain biking, attending FSDC Samurai Sport Sword class, and hanging out with his friends.
It is his hope to someday visit and train on Okinawa, and to be a Ju-Dan!
