Joshua Huang

joshuaJoshua Huang has been training in Isshinryu Karate since the early age of four and got promoted to junior black belt at the age of ten. He has competed in many Metro Detroit tournaments like Volante, Canton, Kiai Grand Nationals, and also around the US at the IHOF (Isshinryu Hall of Fame) Nationals, and IWKA Worlds tournament winning several first, second, and third place trophies. He was nominated as the ‘Jr. Male Competitor’ in the IHOF in 2013. Along with training 2-3 times a week in Karate, he also trains in Samurai Sports padded weapons and Sword. He is involved in volunteer activities at church, and religious formation classes. He competes in national competitions for extra-curricular math and ranked among top 10 in his grade at school. He has been training in Indian Classical Vocal music for 4 years, and also enjoys playing percussions. He loves building and programming Robots, and his Robotics team has competed at State championship events. He wishes to pursue his love of engineering and martial arts for a very long time to come.
