KIAI National Competition Awards 2015

In 2015, 18 students competed in the KIAI Grand National Isshinryu Tournament, earning 49 awards. This included 2 Grand Championship wins, 29 first place winners, 11 second place winners, 6 third place winners and 1 fourth place winner.

13 students earned berths in the Grand Championship round with Ben Matas earning the Grand Championship win for underbelts and Krishna Kiru earning the coveted Grand Championship crown for the Junior Black Belt division.

Earning first place National Championship awards were: Drew Adomaitis (3 wins), Teddy Donahue (2 wins), Ben Matas (2 wins), Mitchel Huang (2 wins), Shaelyn Carroll, Jack Stephens, Trevor Adomaitis, Joshua Huang, Krishna Kiru, Lizzy Arnold, and Shaelyn Carroll.

Taking second place wins were: Anwesha Sarangi (2 wins), Jack Stephens, Rowan Adomaitis, Trevor Adomaitis, Shaelyn Carroll, and Joshua Huang.

Earning third place finishes were: Joshua Huang, Rowan Adomaitis, Teddy Donahue, Jack Stephens, Trevor Adomaitis, and Krishna Kiru.

Earning a fourth place finish was: Krishna Kiru.
